Höftsee

The Höftsee is a lake in the Holstein Switzerland in North Germany. It lies on the River Schwentine east of the town of Plön between the Behler See and the Großer Plöner See. It has an area of about 18 hectares, is up to 16 metres deep and lies about 22 m above sea level. There is a watermill on the Höftsee that makes use of the drop between the Höftsee and the Großer Plöner See. The associated weir is impassable to boats.

Behler See

The Behler See is a lake in the Holstein Switzerland region of North Germany. It lies between Timmdorf to the east and the town of Plön to the west. To the east it transitions into the Langensee, to the west into the Höftsee. All these lakes are crossed from east to west by the River Schwentine. The Behler See is named after the village of Behl in the municipality of Grebin, which lies to the north.

Parnass Tower

The Parnass Tower is an observation tower in the town of Plön in the North German state of Schleswig-Holstein. It sits on the summit of the low hill of Parnaß. It is a 20-metre-high, steel, lattice tower built on a stone plinth with an observation platform 20 metres above the ground (and 85 metres above sea level). The tower was erected in 1888 by the Plön Tourist Association (Plöner Verschönerungsverein). Following renovation work in 1985 it has been reopened as an observation tower.
