The Schwale is an approximately 16 kilometer long river in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The origin is in the district Segeberg close to Gönnebek, the mouth is in the independent town Neumünster. Ehndorf transmitter is a mediumwave radio transmission mast located at Ehndorf, a village west of Neumünster in Schleswig-Holstein, Federal Republic of Germany. Owned by Deutsche Telekom, the facility broadcasts Deutschlandfunk on 1269 kHz (1268 kHz until 1978). It went in service in November 1967 at a power of 600 kW (then one of the highest powered transmitters in Europe), reduced to 300 kW in 1995. It can be heard across northwest Europe.
