It belongs to the traditional kind of Greek villages, as its houses are built scatteringly and its mazy pathways often lead to dead end. The village has 900 voters and only 125 permanent inhabitants. It belongs in the municipality of Koroneia, which contains also the villages Agios Vasileios, Gerakarou, Vasiloudi, and Lagkadikia.

Lake Koroneia
Lake Koroneia is a lake in the heart of the Thessaloniki regional unit in the Mygdonian basin in Greece. The lake is also known as Agios Vasileios after an homonymous village and as Lake Langada. It is located about 12 kilometres east of downtown Thessaloniki. The motorway Egnatia Odos passes along the north side of the lake, and the old Greek National Road 2 passes along the south side. Sedes Airport
