Zarkadia

Zarkadia is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Chrysoupoli in the Kavala regional unit, Greece. The community consists of the villages Zarkadia and Ekali. Ekali is known in local Slavic as Гедикли, Едикли or Кедикли - Gedikli, Edikli, Kedikli.). Zakardia and Ekali had a population of 515 and 79 respectively at the 2001 census.

Oreino, Kavala

Oreino is a former village, now in ruins, in Kavala regional unit, Greece. During the population exchange between Greece and Turkey in the early 1920s, the population, primarily Turks with some Slavs, were forced to leave their homes and the village was not repopulated. Kavala International Airport

Kavala International Airport "Alexander the Great" is an airport located in the municipality of Nestos, in Greece. The airport was originally located closer to Kavala, in the installations of the Greek Air Force, near the village of Amygdaleonas, where it began its operations in 1952 as Kavala National Airport. On October 12, 1981, it was moved near the town of Chrysoupoli, where it operates today.

Anthi Karagianni Stadium

The Anthi Karagianni Municipal Stadium (Greek: Δημοτικό Στάδιο Ανθή Καραγιάννη), formerly the Kavala National Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Kavala, Greece. It is the homebase of Kavala F.C.. The stadium was built 1970, and currently has a seating capacity of 10,500. It is named after the paralympic athlete, Anthi Karagianni, who won three silver medals in the 2004 Paralympic Games.

Kavala aqueduct

The Kavala aqueduct, popularly known as the Kamares, is a well-preserved aqueduct in the city of Kavala, Greece, and is one of the city's landmarks. While the aqueduct is "probably of Roman origin", the present structure dates to the 16th century. A Byzantine barrier wall of the early 14th century, built as part of the fortifications on the Kavala acropolis, probably also functioned as an aqueduct.
