Benda, Sirampog

Benda is a village in the Brebes regency of Central Java, with 4,000 inhabitants. There are seven neighborhoods in Benda: Benda I, Benda II, Karang Tengah, Karang Mulya, Kratagan, Bulawungu, and Jetak. Benda is about 400 meters above sea level and alongside a valley, which means that the climate in the village is a little cooler than the lowland cities along the coast of Java. Most of the villagers are farmers or small vendors, and rice fields extend on all sides of the village proper.

Jatibarang Brebes Sugar Mill

The Jatibarang Brebes Sugar Mill in Jatibarang, Brebes, Indonesia was built in 1842 by the government of the Dutch East Indies colony. During the first occupation of the Dutch in Indonesia, Dutch East Indies government built three sugar factories in the Brebes Regency: Sugar Mill Jatibarang Sugar Mill Bandjaratma Sugar Mill Kersana PG Jatibarang entered the territory of PTPN IX (Persero) because of large operational and maintenance costs and reduced land for planting sugarcane.
