Banyunibo is a 9th century Buddhist temple located in Cepit hamlet, Bokoharjo village, Prambanan, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The temple is dated from the era of Medang Kingdom, and located on a narrow valley surrounded with paddy field, about two kilometers to the southeast of the Ratu Boko archaeological park on the east side of modern Yogyakarta. Further north is Prambanan temples, and to the south are the Gunung Sewu hills, extension of Gunung Kidul hills.

The temple compound is located approximately 18 kilometres east of the city of Yogyakarta on the boundary between Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces. The temple compound, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia, and one of the biggest in Southeast Asia.
