Magetan Regency

Magetan is a regency (kabupaten) of East Java, Indonesia. Within Magetan there is a subdivision also called Magetan. Magetan has a famous lake called Sarangan Lake which is located in the Sarangan District. The chairman of "Jawa Pos Group", a famous newspaper in Indonesia, Dahlan Iskan, was born here. 2009 Indonesian Air Force C-130H Hercules crash

The 2009 C-130H Hercules crash was an aircraft accident in Indonesia on May 20, 2009. The Indonesian Air Force C-130 Hercules airplane was carrying 112 people (98 passengers and 14 crew) and crashed at about 6:30 local time, while flying from Jakarta to eastern Java. The crash resulted in at least 98 deaths, 2 of which occurred on impact when the plane ploughed through a neighborhood, striking at least four houses before skidding into a paddy, in the village of Geplak.

Madiun

Madiun is a city in the western part of the province of East Java in Indonesia, an agricultural centre. It is the capital of the regency of the same name. Madiun, located 169 km south west of Surabaya, had a population of 190,823 in 1992. The town is an average of 63 metres above sea level and lies on the Madiun River, a tributary of the Bengawan Solo River.
