Abarshahr

Abarshahr was a satrapy (province) of the Sassanid Empire. The population was supported by the Hari river, which was used for irrigation. Strabo cited the regions abundant wine-production. Cities in the region were Candac, Artacauan, and Apameia, and Pushang, among others. The capital was a vital point of administration and of communications toward Bactria, India, and Sagistan. The region was involved in the Indian and Chinese trade. Its governor bore the unique title of kanarang.

Gonbar

Gonbar is a village in Sahand foothill in East Azerbaijan Province in Iran. It is famous for slight weather during summer time and absorb lots of local tourist from cities around specially from Tabriz. The main occupation of the people is agriculture and gardening. Walnut is a major product.

Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University

Shahid Madani University of Azerbaijan, commonly called only Azerbaijan University, was founded on 1987 in Tabriz as a branch of Tehran Teacher Education University. On 1988 Azerbaijan University became an independent university . The initial objective of the university was to training teachers in different area for the fulfillment of Iranian government educational development policies. The major concern of the university was focused on training teachers for high schools and technical schools.
