Alborz
Alborz, also written as Alburz, Elburz or Elborz, is a mountain range in northern Iran stretching from the borders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in the northwest to the southern end of the Caspian Sea, and ending in the east at the borders of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. The highest mountain in West Asia, Mount Damavand, Amol, Mazandaran is located in the range. The Alborz mountain range forms a barrier between the south Caspian and the Qazvin-Tehran plateau.

Kholeno
Kholeno is a mountain in Iran. It is the second highest peak in the central Alborzs region with a height of 4387m. It is situated in Mazandaran Province and its typical ascending path is from the south face and the village of Zagoon. Ascent in winter is difficult due to avalanches, and has not been achieved for many years. It is sometimes referred to as the highest peak in the Noor mountains, but is 3m shorter than Azadkouh.
