Pearl Palace

Pearl Palace (kakh-e Morvarid in Persian, also known as kahk-e Shams - (كاخ مرواريد is a large estate designed by Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation on instructions from Shams Pahlavi, elder sister of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran. It was built in 1966 and it is located in Mehrshahr near Karaj, Iran. The majority of the complex is currently occupied by a local Baseej chapter who are neglecting its upkeep.

Savojbolagh County is a county in Alborz Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Hashtgerd. At the 2006 census, the county's population (including those portions later split off to form Taleqan County) was 215,086, in 57,497 families; excluding those portions, the population was 189,305, in 49,923 families. The county is subdivided into three districts: the Central District, Chaharbagh District, and Chendar District.
