Mitchelstown Cave

Mitchelstown Cave is a limestone cave near Burncourt South Tipperary, Ireland. Situated 12 kilometres from Mitchelstown, County Cork, it became the first cave in Ireland to be developed for the public in 1972. The cave is located in the townland of Coolagarranroe, off the R639 between Mitchelstown and Cahir. It is a privately owned local landmark and tourist destination, with a number of caverns open to the public through a guided tour. Noteworthy speleothems include the Tower of Babel column.

Indiependence

Indiependence is an annual Irish indie-rock music festival, that usually takes place at or near Mitchelstown in County Cork. Indiependence is one of the "little two" music festivals in Ireland, sharing many of its acts with Castlepalooza which is held on the same weekend in Tullamore, County Offaly. Nevertheless, it is billed as the largest event of its kind in the south of Ireland.

Galtymore

Galtymore or Galteemore (Irish: Cnoc Mór na nGaibhlte, meaning "big hill of the Galtys") is a 919 m (3015 ft) mountain on the border between counties Limerick and South Tipperary, Republic of Ireland. It is the highest of the Galty Mountains and the 14th highest peak in Ireland. Galtymore is notable in that it is the tallest inland mountain in Ireland, and the only inland peak to exceed 3000 feet.

Galtee Mountains

The Galtee Mountains or Galty Mountains (Irish: Na Gaibhlte or Sléibhte na gCoillte) are a mountain range in Munster, located in Ireland's Golden Vale across parts of counties Limerick and South Tipperary. The name "Galtee" is thought to be a corruption of the Irish "Sléibhte na gCoillte" - "Mountains of the Forests" in English, however this Irish name has fallen out of use.
