Ballydesmond

Ballydesmond, formerly known as Kingwilliamstown, is a rural village in County Cork, Ireland. It is alongside the Blackwater River (near its source in Menganine) on the Cork-Kerry border. The village centre is located on the R577 regional road where it is joined by the R578 from the north and just west of where it is joined by the R582 from the south, and is about 45 kilometres west of Mallow, 17 kilometres west of Newmarket and 20 kilometres east of Castleisland, County Kerry.

Ballydesmond GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Ballydesmond in Cork, Ireland. Its Gaelic Football team participates in competitions organized by Cork GAA, and is a member of Duhallow division. The club is located very close to the border with Kerry and thus is very involved in the intense rivalry between the counties. Handball is also a prominent sport within the club.

Gneeveguilla GAA

Gneeveguilla are a Gaelic football team from east County Kerry, Ireland. They play in the Kerry Senior Football Championship, Kerry County Football League - Division 1, East Kerry Senior Football Championship. Ambrose O'Donovan was captain of the Kerry team which won the 1984 Philip Cremin was also a member of this victorious panel. Centenary All-Ireland. This great club has come along way since its foundation in 1960. Its facilities are superb.

Gneeveguilla, officially Gneevgullia (Irish: Gníomh go Leith), is a small village in the Sliabh Luachra region of North East County Kerry, Ireland. It lies about 19 km east of Killarney, close to the County Kerry/County Cork border. Gneeveguilla is situated in a region of scenic undulating hills and valleys and serves a rural hinterland consisting of dairy farms, pastureland and peatland.
