Derry City and Strabane District

Derry City and Strabane District is a proposed Northern Ireland local government district. The district is to be created by merging City of Derry District and Strabane District. The propsed district was to cover parts of counties Londonderry and Tyrone, and border County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland. The district was to have an electorate of 92,593. The name of the new district was announced on 17 September 2008.

Newbuildings Independent Methodist Church

Newbuildings Independent Methodist Church is situated on the Duncastle Road in the village of Newbuildings some 5 miles from Derry in Northern Ireland. It was officially opened in 1985 under the ministry of Rev Robert Maxwell. Rev Maxwell began his evangelistic work in the year 1978. He continued to minister to the congregation until 1988 when he accepted the call of Dungannon Independent Methodist Church. Rev Eric Moore was then installed in Newbuildings.
