Derry City and Strabane District is a proposed Northern Ireland local government district. The district is to be created by merging City of Derry District and Strabane District. The propsed district was to cover parts of counties Londonderry and Tyrone, and border County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland. The district was to have an electorate of 92,593. The name of the new district was announced on 17 September 2008.

Donemana or Dunnamanagh is a small village in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is 11 kilometres north-east of Strabane, on the banks of the Burn Dennett and at the foothills of the Sperrins. It is the largest of the thirteen villages in the Strabane District Council area and had a population of 593 in the 2001 Census. Other anglicised spellings of its name include Dun[n n]amana[gh gh] and Don[n n]amana[gh gh].

Artigarvan is a village and townland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is 3 miles from Strabane and 4 miles from Dunnamanagh, within the Strabane District Council area. It is called Airtigarvan in Ulster-Scots. TMC Dairies is located in Artigarvan, having previously been known as Leckpatrick Creamery. In July 2011 an Ulster Volunteer Force flag was removed from Artigarvan without prior consultation with the local community by the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
