Laplje Selo

Laplje Selo is a village/settlement in the Gračanica municipality of Kosovo, Serbia. Laplje Selo was part of the Pristina municipality before the Gracanica municipality was created. It is a Serb enclave; a supermajority of ethnic Serbs. During the Kosovo War, Serbs were displaced, after more than a decade, sixteen families returned to their village, on February 6, 2010. That number has since increased to just over 20 families. Various problems persist for returnees.

Pristina International Airport Adem Jashari

Pristina International Airport Adem Jashari is an international airport located 15 km southwest of Pristina, Kosovo. It is an international airport that handles over a million passengers per year, co-located with Slatina Air Base. It is under the authority of the Government of Kosovo and is the only port of entry for air travellers to Kosovo. Pristina International Airport is a secondary hub for Belle Air of Albania and Adria Airways of Slovenia.

Slatina Air Base

Slatina Air Base (Albanian: Aeroporti Sllatina; Serbian: Аеродром Слатина, Aerodrom Slatina), located at Pristina International Airport, contained the second largest military underground hangar complex in former Yugoslavia. The largest one was at Željava Airport near Bihać. After 1999 NATO bombing in Yugoslavia, this object was used by NATO KFOR. Before the Yugoslav military withdrawal, Slatina was home of the 83rd Fighter Aviation Regiment and its 123rd and the 124th squadron.

Incident at Pristina airport

The Incident at Pristina airport was a confrontation between the NATO forces and Russian forces over the Pristina International Airport on 12 June 1999, in the aftermath of the Kosovo War. Russian troops occupied the airport ahead of a NATO deployment, resulting in a tense stand-off, which was resolved peacefully.
