Poslishte (archaeological site)

Part of a series of articles upon Archaeology of Kosovo Main article: Roman Period Sites in Kosovo {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:42.191358|N|20.669829|E||||| |primary |name= }} Poslishte was discovered during the construction of the highway segment between Prizren and Vërmica in 2010, approximately 1 kilometre south of the multilayer archaeological site of Vlashnje, on the left side of this road segment, respectively, 150 m from the road that leads toward the Poslishte village.

Žur

Zur occurs five times in the King James Bible as the name of various people and a state. The first mention is in Numbers 25:15. This is the pericope where Numbers 25:1 tells us that Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab: And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian. The second mention is Numbers 31:8-9.

Church of St. Nicholas, Prizren

The Church of St. Nicholas (Serbian: Црква светог Николе / Crkva Svetog Nikole), also known as Tutić Church is a Serbian Orthodox church located in Prizren in Kosovo. It was founded in 1331-1332 by Dragoslav Tutić, whose monastic name was Nicolas, and his wife Bela. Later, the church became a possession of the Visoki Dečani Monastery. Since 1990, it has been on Serbia's list of Monuments of Culture of Exceptional Importance. At the time of the 2004 unrest in Kosovo, the church was vandalized.

Breznë Lake

Breznë Lake (Albanian: Liqeni i Breznës) is a small beautiful natural lake found in southern Kosovo. It is named after the village of Breznë. To the north and west of the small lake is the mountain of Koritnik. It has a small area of around 2 hectares.

Kaljaja (Prizren)

Kaljaja or Prizren Fortress is the medieval fortress in Prizren, Kosovo, in which once the capital of Serbian Empire was located. It was built on a hill above Prizrenska Bistrica, around which the modern city developed. The first fort, erected on this location by the Byzantines, was further expanded by Tsar Stefan Uroš IV Dušan of Serbia. The fort then came under the Ottomans, who controlled it for four and a half centuries, giving it its modern shape.
