Baltadvaris Castle

Baltadvaris Castle was a fortified manor house, earlier sometimes classed as a bastion castle, in :lt:Baltadvaris (Molėtai), near Videniškiai in Molėtai district, Lithuania. The masonry castle with wooden fortifications was constructed by Swedish fortificators in the 16th century, in a bend of the River Siesartis, in order to secure the road from Vilnius to Riga against attacks from Livonia. It used to be the property of the princely Giedraičiai (Giedroyć) family.

Molėtai District Municipality

The Molėtai District Municipality is one of 60 municipalities in Lithuania. Molėtai is known for its many lakes. There are about 220 lakes in the district and they cover about 7% of the total territory. Since it is only about 60 km north of Vilnius, many Vilnians own summer homes there. The area offers many recreational opportunities. It is easy to reach Molėtai because there is a highway connecting Vilnius and Utena which divides the district into two almost equal parts.

Virinta

Virinta is a river of Anykščiai district municipality, Utena County, northeastern Lithuania. It flows for 59.1 kilometres and has a basin area of 566.3 km². It is a tributary of the Šventoji River.

Puntukas

Puntukas is the second-largest boulder in Lithuania. It is situated some 5 kilometres south of Anykščiai on the left bank of the Šventoji River. It was believed to be the largest stone in Lithuania until the discovery of Barstyčiai stone in the Skuodas district in 1957. Puntukas is a glacial erratic—it was brought by glaciers during the last glacial period (18th–12th millennium BC) probably from Finland.
