Tanjung Tualang

Tanjung Tualang is a small town in Kinta district, known as Kinta Valley Perak, Malaysia and located at 4° 19' 0" North dan 101° 4' 0" East. It's under the administration of West Kinta Town Council (Majlis Perbandaran Kinta Barat). Mambang Di Awan

Mambang Di Awan is a small town in Perak, Malaysia. Its name means "Haunter/spirit in the Clouds". Mambang Di Awan is situated near Kampar. It lies between the border of Batang Padang-Kampar district. It is also the southwestern start of Majlis Daerah Kampar's border. The famous groundnut factory of "Cap Tangan" ("Hand Brand" - trademark of a hand giving a thumbs up sign) is situated in this small township. There are also many industrial places.

Kampar, Perak

Kampar (Chinese:金宝)is a town in the state of Perak, Malaysia. Founded in 1887, the town lies within the Kinta Valley and located in the newly-created Kampar District, an area rich with tin reserves. It was a tin mining town which boomed during the height of the tin mining industry. There were many tin mines on the outskirts of Kampar during the height of the mining boom.

2009 Perak suspension bridge collapse

The 2009 Perak suspension bridge collapse took place on 26 October 2009. About 22 schoolchildren were feared drowned after plunging into the Kampar River when a suspension bridge they were crossing collapsed on Monday night in Kuala Dipang near Kampar, Perak. 19 people safe and three others dead. The Kampar River is known for extreme water sports. The part of the river where the bridge collapsed is about 30 metres wide and 1.5 metres deep.
