Balik Pulau (literally meaning back of the island) is a town in Penang, Malaysia. Durians and other kinds of fruits are planted there. The Kek Lok Si Temple is a Buddhist temple situated in Air Itam in Penang and is one of the best known temples on the island. It is the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. The temple is heavily commercialised with shops at every level and inside the main temple complexes. Mahayana Buddhism and traditional Chinese rituals blend into a harmonious whole, both in the temple architecture and artwork as well as in the daily activities of worshippers.

Pulau Betong
Pulau Betong is a small island in Penang, Malaysia. Pulau Betong is a small island on the southwest corner of Penang Island. Located on the Penang side is a village called Kampung Pulau Betong, which gets its name from the island. Pulau Betong can be seen from the country road that leads to Pasir Panjang. The island is not accessible except by boat. Pulau Betong is uninhabited, safe for some fish-breeding activities conducted there. In order to reach Pulau Betong, one has to hire a boat.
