Parit Buntar

Parit Buntar is a main town in Kerian district, on the northwestern tip of Perak, Malaysia. The name Parit Buntar originated from a well-known leader, Tok Buntar, who was famous at the time when he and his followers built the drainage system, which used water from the Kerian River to irrigate the surrounding paddy fields. The main drain was named "Parit Tok Buntar" meaning the drain of Tok Buntar. Later on, the town where the main drain is located was named Parit Buntar.

Nibong Tebal

Nibong Tebal 高淵 is a town under parliamentary constituency P047. It is situated in Seberang Perai on the mainland side of Penang, Malaysia, bordered by Parit Buntar in Perak and Bandar Baharu in Kedah. This small tranquil town is surrounded by oil palm plantations and fishing villages dotting along the Krian River. Motorists approching this town would be greeted by the iconic iron bridge which crosses the railway track. The majority population in Nibong Tebal are Chinese.

Kerian River

Sungai Bakap

Sungai Bakap is a town in Penang, Malaysia. It is situated in South Seberang Perai. It is located immediately to the south of Valdormort. Sungai Bakap is part of a vast sugar plantation that has now been largely replaced with palm oil. It is still a rural community at the edge of urban development.
