Balik Pulau (literally meaning back of the island) is a town in Penang, Malaysia. Durians and other kinds of fruits are planted there. Balik Pulau is famous for its durian plantations which include the 'ang heh' (meaning red prawns) and 'holo' (meaning gourd like) variety. The area was affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

Pulau Betong is a small island in Penang, Malaysia. Pulau Betong is a small island on the southwest corner of Penang Island. Located on the Penang side is a village called Kampung Pulau Betong, which gets its name from the island. Pulau Betong can be seen from the country road that leads to Pasir Panjang. The island is not accessible except by boat. Pulau Betong is uninhabited, safe for some fish-breeding activities conducted there. In order to reach Pulau Betong, one has to hire a boat.

Phor Tay High School
Phor Tay High School is a public, Buddhist, co-educational high school, located in Sungai Dua, Penang. It is the only Buddhist secondary school, where Buddhist education is a compulsory subject for all Buddhist students of the school, in Malaysia. Phor Tay High School was previously an all-girls school. It was officially converted to a co-educational school after its relocation from Jalan Bagan Jermal in 2009.
