Batu Ferringhi

Batu Ferringhi (Foreigner's Rock) is a beach area in Penang, Malaysia. Along this famous beach area, there are numerous large hotels, restaurants, transport rental services, and souvenir stores. Batu Ferringhi is located adjacent to Teluk Bahang and Tanjung Bungah. Visitors can purchase pirated DVD's and CD's and knock off copies of designer brands such as Gucci and Jimmy Choo.

Teluk Bahang

Teluk Bahang is a fishing village situated on the northwestern part of Penang Island in Malaysia. The Teluk Bahang Dam is situated here. Teluk Bahang is also the entry point for the Penang National Park, which was previously known as the Pantai Aceh Forest Reserve. The expensive Mutiara Beach Resort is located just outside Teluk Bahang village.

Penang Botanic Gardens

The Penang Botanic Gardens, also known as the "Waterfall Gardens" because of the cascading waterfall nearby, is a public park situated on Jalan Air Terjun (Waterfall Road) in George Town on Penang Island, Malaysia. The original gardens were established in 1884 from an old quarry site, under the supervision of Charles Curtis, who was the first superintendent.

Mount Erskine

Mount Erskine (Pek Hoon Sua in Hokkien) is a township in the northeastern part of Penang Island, Malaysia. It sees more activity during the Qingming Festival due to the presence of its cemeteries dating from the early 19th century. More recently, the top of Mount Erskine has been flattened to make way for the construction of condominiums.

Penang Hill Railway

The Penang Hill Railway is a one section funicular railway which climbs Penang Hill from Air Itam, near George Town on the island of Penang in Malaysia. The total journey takes about ten to twenty minutes. The train may stop at other intermediate stations upon request. Construction of the railway took place between 1906 to 1923, at a cost of 1.5 million Straits dollars. The railway was opened to the public on October 21, 1923. New cars were provided in 1977.
