Rafflesia Forest Reserve

The Rafflesia Forest Reserve covers an area of 356 ha of Tambunan district, Sabah, Malaysia. It was established in 1984 by the Sabah Forestry Department to protect the Rafflesia flowers abundant in the area. The Rafflesia Information Centre, located directly along the road from Kota Kinabalu to Tambunan, is the main touristical target within the reserve. Several sites of Rafflesia pricei are reachable from the centre on hiking trails.

Menggatal

Menggatal is a Malaysian town and sub-district on the west coast of Sabah, on the outskirts of the capital, Kota Kinabalu. It is under the jurisdiction of Kota Kinabalu City Hall. The name 'Menggatal' is largely believed to refer to the name of a tree that cause skin itchiness, hence the name which means 'causing itch' in Malay.

Inanam

Inanam is a town and sub-district of Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia. It is situated 10km from Kota Kinabalu city centre. The town population consists of mainly the Dusun, and the Chinese who operate the shops. Of late however there is a large influx of immigrants both from the southern Philippines and Indonesia. Many of them are illegals and live in squatters.

Telipok

Telipok is a town located about 15 kilometres north of Kota Kinabalu, in Sabah, Malaysia. The town is within the administration of Kota Kinabalu City Hall and is a sub-district of the city. It is also part of the urban expanse of Kota Kinabalu or part of its metropolitan area. It is situated nearby Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park, and is within 5 kilometres of the towns of Menggatal, Sepanggar, and Tuaran.

Sabah Science Secondary School

Sabah Science Secondary School also known as Sekolah Menengah Sains Sabah (SMESH) in Malay, is a prominent cluster boarding school in East Malaysia established since 1978 but fully operational on 1 January 1984. Previously known as Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Sabah (SBPS), it was the pioneer of boarding school project in Sabah and Sarawak and was built on 16-acre land near Kinabalu Golf and Country Club.
