Kundasang

Kundasang is a village in district of Ranau, Sabah, Borneo that lies along the bank of Kundasang Valley. It is located about 6 kilometres away from Kinabalu National Park, 12 kilometres from Ranau town and is renowned for its vegetable market which is open seven days a week. It is the closest village to Mount Kinabalu and has a panoramic view of the Mountain. It is populated mainly by the native Dusun and a very small population of Chinese people. Almost all the shops are operated by locals.

Mesilau

Mesilau, named after Mesilau River, is an area situated at approximately 2000 m above sea level on the East Ridge of Mount Kinabalu in Kinabalu National Park, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. It is the site of the Mesilau Nature Resort, which is owned and operated by Sutera Sanctuary Lodges. Mesilau is home to the only population of Nepenthes rajah pitcher plants accessible to regular visitors. The plants grow on a steep hillside overlooking Mesilau East River. A number of other species, including N.

Pig Hill (Mount Kinabalu)

Pig Hill is an ultramafic area situated at approximately 2000 m above sea level on the southeastern side of Mount Kinabalu in Kinabalu National Park, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. It is located to the east of Mesilau, some 4 hours' walk from the Mesilau Nature Resort. A number of pitcher plant species are found on Pig Hill, including N.  burbidgeae (1900–1950 m), N.  rajah (1950–2320 m), and the natural hybrid between the two, N.  × alisaputrana (1930–1950 m).

Salang, Malaysia

Salang is the northernmost village on the island of Tioman in Pahang, Malaysia. It is very small, yet popular with backpackers. It has a few bars, some dive shops and two main chalet complexes. Although the village itself is polluted, it is within close access to the best reef sites. Salang is located close to the uninhabited "Monkey Bay" so named because monkeys are seen walking along the beach.

West Coast Division

West Coast Division is an administrative division of Sabah, east Malaysia, on the island of Borneo. It occupies the northwest portion of Sabah. With an area of 7,588 square kilometres, it occupies 10.3% of Sabah's territory. It also has approximately 30% of Sabah's total population. The division is divided into the districts of Ranau, Kota Belud, Tuaran, Penampang, Putatan, Papar, and the state capital Kota Kinabalu.
