Het Koetshuis Schuttersveld is a former restaurant located in Enschede, Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1987-2001. Owner and head chef Fred Böhnke closed the restaurant in February 2009, after 32 year. He cited the smoking ban and the recession as the reason for his demise of the restaurant. Böhnke followed the advice of his bank and closed the restaurant before going bankrupt.

Rijksmuseum Twenthe
The Rijksmuseum Twenthe in Enschede, the Netherlands, was founded in 1927 by textile industry Baron Jan Bernard Van Heek. He donated his own private collection and the museum building to the government, thus making it a national museum. The museum is situated in the quarter of Roombeek, 10 minutes on foot north-east from the railway station. It has a small gift shop and a cafe, but only poor car parking facilities, so visitors are advised not to come by car.

Roombeek
Roombeek is a working-class suburb of the Dutch city of Enschede. It made international headlines due to the Enschede fireworks warehouse disaster (Dutch, "Vuurwerkramp") on May 13, 2000. The warehouse explosion in Roombeek caused 23 deaths, and wounded 947 people. Around 400 homes were destroyed, and 1500 were seriously damaged by the fireworks explosion. Prior, there were already plans for a major renovation of the district.
