Kaiapoi River

The Kaiapoi River is a minor river of north Canterbury, in New Zealand's South Island. Originally called the Cam River, it is a tributary of the Waimakariri River, which it joins at the larger river's estuary. The town of Kaiapoi is situated on the banks of the river. The Kaiapoi River has several tributaries, including the Cam River, used for carting logs and wool in the 1890s and 1900s. There are also several streams that join the Kaiapoi River.

Eyreton

Eyreton, originally known as Eyretown, is a small village in the Canterbury region of New Zealand's South Island. It is named after Edward John Eyre, who at one time was the lieutenant governor of the South Island (then known as New Munster). It is a rural village located to the west of Kaiapoi, near the north bank of the Waimakariri River, and the 2001 New Zealand Census of Population and Dwellings revealed that 2,139 people lived in Eyreton and the surrounding area.

Spencerville, New Zealand

Spencerville is a semi-rural town on the east coast of Canterbury, New Zealand north of Christchurch. The town backs on to Bottle Lake Forest and includes a large (1 hectare) park and 80 hectare camping ground. These things, as well as wetlands and an animal and bird park make the town a popular camping area for Christchurch residents. In recent years the towns population has been increasing due to the "Seafield Park" residential development.

St Bede's College, Christchurch

St. Bede's College is a Roman Catholic day and boarding school in Christchurch, New Zealand for boys aged 13 (Year 9) to 18 (Year 13). St. Bede's is the oldest Roman Catholic Boys' College in New Zealand's South Island. It is also the only Catholic day and boarding college for boys in New Zealand's South Island. Students at St Bede's are colloquially known as Bedeans. St Bede's College was founded in 1911 by the Marists, a religious congregation founded in Lyon, France in 1816.
