Lud River

The Lud River is a river of the Nelson Region of New Zealand's South Island. It flows north from a ridge ten kilometres to the east of Nelson city centre, reaching the Wakapuaka River close to the latters outfall into Delaware Bay, an indentation in the eastern shore of Tasman Bay.

The Wakapuaka River is a river of the Nelson Region of New Zealand's South Island. It flows generally north from its origins in the north of the Bryant Range 14 kilometres east of Nelson city centre to reach Delaware Bay, an indentation in the northeast coast of Tasman Bay.

Horoirangi Marine Reserve

The Horoirangi Marine Reserve, sometimes referred to as the Glenduan Marine Reserve, is situated to the north east of :en:Nelson, New Zealand and stretches along the coast from the northern end of Boulder Bank to just south of Cable Bay. It was established in 2005 and has an area of 9.58 km².

Cawthron Atkinson Observatory

Cawthron Atkinson Observatory (formerly Atkinson Observatory) is sited in the grounds of Clifton Terrace School, Nelson, New Zealand, after previously being situated at Pipers Park for many years. First operated in 1883, the observatory was founded by Arthur Atkinson, a keen amateur astronomer and Member of Parliament for Nelson. A newer observatory building opened in 1982.
