Rotowaro
Rotowaro was once a small coal mining township approximately 10 km west of Huntly in the Waikato region of New Zealand. The town was built especially for miners houses, but was entirely removed in the 1980s to make way for a large opencast mine.

Bush Tramway Club
The Bush Tramway Club is a heritage railway 12 km west of Huntly along the Rotowaro Road, in the Waikato region of New Zealand. It regularly operates restored locomotives along a 5.4 km Rotowaro-Glen Afton section of the former Glen Afton Branch. Open days are the first Sunday of the month, April to December (inclusive).

Huntly College
Huntly College is a state owned school located in the Waikato, New Zealand town of Huntly. The wide variety of programmes available recognises the differing abilities and needs of those attending the school, and ensures that all students have the chance to succeed at their own level and in their chosen field. Huntly College is a relatively small school, with a current roll of approximately 350 students. The roll peaked in the early 1980s with student numbers at that time in excess of 800.

Huntly (population 7,067) is a town in the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand. It is on State Highway 1, 93 kilometres south of Auckland and 35 kilometres north of Hamilton. It is situated on the North Island Main Trunk Railway and straddles the Waikato River. It is within the Waikato District and Waikato Region local government boundaries. Huntly was called Rahui Pokeka when migrants settled the town some time in the 1850s.
