Crushington, New Zealand
Crushington is a town in New Zealand. It is known as the birthplace of Olympic athlete John Edward "Jack" Lovelock. The settlement is located three kilometres inland from Reefton, on the Lewis Pass road between the West Coast of the South Island and north Canterbury. The town was originally a settlement for quartz-mining, and was named for the pervasive sound of quartz being crushed by the mine's machinery.

Reefton is a small town on New Zealand's West Coast region, some 80 km northeast of Greymouth, in the valley of the Inangahua River. Waiuta
Waiuta is the location of a historic mining town on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. It was the site of a gold mine until 1951 but the collapse of the mine made it uneconomic. A number of buildings remain and there are still residents in what remains of the town.
