A123 highway (Nigeria)

The A123 highway is a highway in Nigeria. It is one of the east-west roads linking the main south-north roads. (It is named from the two highways it links). It runs from the A1 highway at Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State to the A2 highway north of Okene, Kogi State. The main town on the route is Kabba.

Igbaja

Igbaja is a community in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara State, Nigeria, at an elevation of 349 m. It is about 40 km southeast of Ilorin, and is in Igbomina country. The Ilorin Provincial Gazetteer (1918) dates the settlement of Igbaja as late 17th or early 18th century, while the Igbaja District Gazetteer (1933–35) puts it about 1750 AD. The wet season lasts from April to October, with 50–100 cm of rain. In the dry season from November to March there is 0–13 cm of rain.

Offa, Nigeria

Offa, Kwara State, is a city located in central Nigeria with a population of 300 - 400 thousand. The vegetation in Offa is savanna vegetation and the city is noted for its weaving and dyeing trade, using vegetable dyes made from locally grown indigo and other plants. Offa is well known for cultivation of Sweet potatoes and maize which also formed part of the favourite staple foods of the indigenes in the town. Offa in one of her eulogy is being address as the home of sweet potatoes.

Kwara State Stadium

Kwara State Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Ilorin, Nigeria. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Kwara United F.C.. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000 people, but will be expanded to 18,000 in a 48-week renovation that began in early 2010.
