Sandvika Station

Sandvika Station is a railway station located in downtown Sandvika in Bærum, Akershus, Norway. The station serves as a local public transport hub and is located on the Asker Line and the Drammen Line. The station was opened with the Drammen Line in 1872. In 2005 the Asker Line opened allowing though trains to bypass local trains and head directly to the next mayor station, Asker. An expansion of the Asker Line to Lysaker is under construction.

Sandvika Storsenter

Sandvika Storsenter (“Sandvika shoppingmall” or “Sandvika S”) is a super-regional mall located in Sandvika outside of Oslo, Norway. It is currently the largest mall in Scandinavia with 190 stores. Sandvika Storsenter is owned by Olav Thon. The mall opened October 14th 1993, and was then 24.000 m2. They expanded in 2007 with 5 500 m2 making them the largest shopping mall in Norway at the time. Sandvika Storsenter is visited by 25 000 customers every day, 150 000 per week and 8 million a year.

Kalvøya

Kalvøya (English: Calf Island) is situated in the inner Oslofjord. The island is right outside of Sandvika in Bærum. The island has been connected to the mainland by a suspension bridge to Kadettangen since 1963. Kalvøya is one of the most popular bathing spots in Bærum. On the far east side of the island there is a nude beach. Kalvøya plays host to an annual soccer tournament for kids and a children's festival. The festival Øyafestivalen also has its roots there.

Henie-Onstad Art Centre

The Henie-Onstad Art Centre (Norwegian: Henie Onstad kunstsenter) is an art museum located at Høvikodden in Bærum municipality, Norway. The Henie-Onstad Art Centre is situated on a headland jutting into the Oslofjord, approximately 10 km south of Oslo. The centre was founded in 1968 by World and Olympic champion figure skater Sonja Henie (1912–1969) and her husband, shipping magnate and art collector Niels Onstad (1909–1978).
