Leksdalsvatnet

Leksdalvatnet is a lake in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway that lies in the municipalities of Steinkjer and Verdal. It is located south of the town of Steinkjer and northeast of the town of Verdalsøra, about 6 kilometres east of the Trondheimsfjord. The 21.73-square-kilometre lake sits at an elevation of 70 metres above sea level. It is drained by Figgja.

Vuku Church

Vuku Church is a parish church in the municipality of Verdal in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Vuku. The church is part of the Vuku parish in the Sør-Innherad deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The red wooden church was built in 1654 by the architects Ole Johnsen Hindrum and Olluff Johnson Kirchebygger.

Battle of Stiklestad

The Battle of Stiklestad in 1030 is one of the most famous battles in the history of Norway. In this battle, King Olaf II of Norway was killed. He was later canonized. His younger half-brother, Harald Sigurdsson, was also present at the battle and would in 1047 go on to become King of Norway, only to die in a failed invasion of England in the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066. Harald was only fifteen when the battle of Stiklestad took place.

Stiklestad Church

Stiklestad Church is a parish church in the municipality of Verdal in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Stiklestad. The church is part of the Stiklestad parish in the Sør-Innherad deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The stone church building was completed in 1180. It was designed by Archbishop Øystein Erlendsson and it seats about 520 people.

Vinne Church

Vinne Church is a parish church in the municipality of Verdal in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Vinne. The church is part of the Vinne parish in the Sør-Innherad deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white wooden church was built in 1817 and the main building is octagonal in shape.
