Mosterøy

Mosterøy is an island and former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The administrative centre was Askje. It was created by a split from Rennesøy municipality on 1 July 1884. The new municipality had a population of 1,309. On 1 January 1923 a group of outlying islands were separated from Mosterøy to form a separate municipality Kvitsøy. The split left Mosterøy with 745 inhabitants. On 1 January 1965 Mosterøy was reunited with Rennesøy. Prior to the merger Mosterøy had a population of 817.

Buøy is an island and neighborhood (delområde) in the borough Hundvåg in Stavanger, Norway. The neighborhood has a population of 1,792, distributed on an area of 1,19 km². It consists of the islands Buøy, Engøy and Sølyst/Grasholmen.

Gamle Stavanger

Gamle Stavanger ('Old Stavanger') is an area of the city of Stavanger in the county of Rogaland, Norway which consists of 173 wooden houses that was built in the 18th century and in the beginning of the 19th century. The area includes the Norwegian Canning museum which displays a typical factory from the 1920s. In the years after World War II, a new city plan was created for Stavanger.
