Helleland

Helleland is a village and parish as well as former municipality now located in Eigersund municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. Helleland is situated approx. 13 km outside Egersund along European route E39, a part of Norwegian national road system. Helleland parish clerical district included churches located at Helleland, Bjerkreim with Øvrebygd chapel and Heskestad parishes. Helleland parish was created as a municipality was created as Helleland formannskapsdistrikt in 1837.

Nodlandsvatnet

Nodlandsvatnet is a lake in the municipality of Eigersund in Rogaland county, Norway. The lake is a major reservoir for the local energy company Dalane Energi, and has a capacity of 20 million cubic metres, the second largest in the area after Spjodevatnet with 24 million cubic metres. The lake serves also serves a recreational function. The Opplev Dalane (explore Dalane) hiking path runs past the lake, and an open hut for hikers is expected to open in December 2007 at Imeseid.

Egersund Station

Egersund Station is a railway station located at Egersund in Eigersund, Norway on the Sørlandet Line. The station is 74.71 kilometers south of Stavanger and is served by regional trains between Stavanger and Kristiansand as well as being the terminus of the Jæren Commuter Rail to Stavanger.

Stoplesteinan

Stoplesteinan (also known as Stoplesteinane) is a stone circle in the town of Egersund, Rogaland in Norway. The local people often refer to it as a Stonehenge in miniature, although the only thing the two stone rings have in common is that they both are made of stone positioned in a circular manner. The monument has a diameter of about 21 meters (69 feet) and consists of 16 raised stones. Some of the stones are up to 1.2 meters (4 feet) tall.
