Kvitsøy Tower

Kvitsøy Tower is the name for the aerial tower of the 1200 kilowatt transmitter of the broadcasting company of Norway for the frequency 1314 kHz, which was built in 1981/82. Kvitsøy-Tower is 117.5 metres high, free standing, and constructed of a grounded steel framework. Horizontal crossbars are located at its top and at a height of 67.5 metres above ground to support the cables for a medium wave aerial, which are strung parallel to the tower.

Rogfast

Rogfast (from "Rogaland fast forbindelse", "Rogaland fixed connection") is a planned sub-sea northward tunnel between Randaberg near Stavanger and Bokn in Rogaland, Norway. The tunnel is planned as a 25 km connection below the Boknafjord and Kvitsøfjord. A connection to Kvitsøy will be added. The project will be a world record with respect to length and maximum depth (380 m below sea level). The cost of the project is assumed to be around 500-600 million €.

Kvitsøy Lighthouse

Kvitsøy Lighthouse is a coastal lighthouse and heritage building in the municipality of Kvitsøy in Rogaland, Norway. The first lighthouse at the site was established in 1700. Kvitsøy Lighthouse was automated in 1969, and has been a protected building since 1998.
