Heskestad

Heskestad is a village and parish located in Lund municipalityin Rogaland county, Norway. Heskestad was part of Helleland clerical district until 1820 when it became part of Lund clerical district. Heskestad parish was created as Heskestad formannskapsdistrikt in 1837. On 1 January 1965 the majority of Heskestad, with 547 inhabitants, became a part of Lund municipality. At the same time Gyadalen and Grøsfjell with 114 inhabitants were moved to Eigersund municipality.

Hauge, Rogaland

Hauge i Dalane (Haua in the local dialect) is the administrative center of Sokndal municipality, Norway. The origin of the name Hauge is from the Old Norse word Haugr meaning mound. Its total area is 2.35 km². Its population (as of January 1, 2006) is 2,182, with a population density of 929 residents per km². The postal code for Hauge i Dalane is 4380.
