Kanebogen School

Kanebogen skole is an elementary school in Kanebogen, a part of Harstad city in North Norway. It has more than 300 pupils in classes from 1st to 7th grade and about 50 employees. Situated right next to the school on the northern side is a stadium for sports, Kanebogen Stadion, which was opened in 1979.

Kanebogen Church

Kanebogen Church is a parish church in the municipality of Harstad in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the Kanebogen area in the town of Harstad. The church is part of the Kanebogen parish in the Trondenes deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The church was built in 1999 to replace the old Fredly Chapel that burned down in 1984. The church was designed by architect Jim Myrstad, and it seats 120 people, but can be expanded up to 500 people.

Harstad Church

Harstad Church is a parish church in the municipality of Harstad in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the town of Harstad. The church is part of the Harstad parish in the Trondenes deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white concrete church was built in 1958 by the architect Jan Inge Hovig. The large church seats about 500 people.

RV Belgica (1884)

Belgica was a barque-rigged steamship that was built in 1884 by Christian Brinch Jørgensen at Svelvik, Norway as the whaler Patria. In 1896, she was purchased by Adrien de Gerlache for conversion to a research ship, taking part in the Belgian Antarctic Expedition of 1897–1901, becoming the first ship to overwinter in the Antarctic. In 1902, she was sold to Philippe, Duke of Orléans and used on expeditions to the Arctic in 1905 and from 1907–09.
