Talgje

Talgje is a populated island in the municipality of Finnøy, Norway. Talgje church dating from c.1100 is located here. To disambiguate from another island named Talgje, located in the Sjernarøy island group, Talgje in Finnøy is sometimes called Sør-Talgje (South Talgje). Talgje also have a ferry over to Ladstein, Finnøy and Hanasand.

Finnøy Tunnel

The Finnøy Tunnel, also known as the Finnøy Fixed Link or Finnfast, is an underwater road tunnel that connects the islands of Finnøy and Talgje to the mainland at Rennesøy in Norway. Located on County Road 519, the tunnel opened on 30 October 2009 and cost NOK 530 million. It is 6,700 metres long, including the branch to Talgje.

Tau, Norway

Tau is a village in the municipality of Strand. Tau has about 3000 inhabitants and is connected to Stavanger by ferry. The name might come from the Norse word taufr meaning 'witchcraft', as one believes there was a sacrificial field here in the Iron age. Some days the place smells of puffed oats, because of the factory Tau Mølle AS. The factory is located in a white mill that was used to brew the Norwegian beer known as "Tou".
