Peshawar District

Peshawar is a district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Until divisions were abolished as part of local government reforms in 2000 it was part of Peshawar Division. The city of Peshawar, as well as being the provincial capital, is the capital of the district. The area of the district is 1,257 km, and at the 1998 Pakistan Census it had a population of 4,650,000 (up from 1,113,303 at the previous 1981 Census).

Chamkani (Pakistan)

Chamkani is not only the name of a village In fact, Chamknai is a subtribe of Pashto speaking people. This tribe belongs to Afghanistan. "Khalid Bin Waleed" is also associated with this tribe. Originally the name was Samkani but later on it changed to Sokani/Sokano and finally Chamkani. Its people are called Sokaniwaal or Chamkanian. Part of Chamkani is also exists in Afghanistan (Paktia) province which is the origin.

2010 Peshawar bombing

The 19 April 2010 Peshawar bombing was a suicide bombing that occurred in a marketplace in Peshawar, Pakistan on 19 April 2010. At least 25 people died. The blast, which happened in Qissa Khawani market, killed Dost Muhammad, who was the local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami and was leading a protest against Load shedding. The attack happened at about 6:30 pm local time. The attack also appeared to target a senior police officer Gulfat Hussein a shia.

Jalozai

Jalozai refugee camp, 35 kilometres southeast of Peshawar, Pakistan, was one of the largest of 150 refugee or transit camps in Pakistan, holding Afghan refugees from the 1980s Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. It had an estimated 70,000 refugees at its peak. New Jalozai adjoined the original Jalozai camp in November 2000, taking in a new wave of arriving Afghan refugees.

Gulbahar Colony

Gulbahar Colony is a residential area in southern Faisalabad, Pakistan. The famous Satyana Road passes on eastern side of colony. Besides, it is bounded by Batala Colony in the north, Garden Colony in the west and Muhammad Abad on its south. "Gates" pronounced as "Getaan" fall on NE of this colony. Although "Gates" no more exist but the place is still known after its old name.
