PAF Base Rafiqui

Rafiqui Airbase or Shorkot Airbase is a PAF Airbase located near Shorkot, Jhang District, Punjab, Pakistan. The base is named in the honor of Squadron Leader Sarfaraz Ahmed Rafiqui for his valor in Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. PAF Rafiqui is located in central Pakistan 337 kilometers South of Islamabad. PAF Rafiqui is served by a single 10,000 foot long runway and a parallel taxiway that could be used for emergency landing and recovery of aircraft .
