Vehoa

Vehova or Vehoa is a town and union council of Dera Ghazi Khan District of Punjab, Pakistan. The town is part of Taunsa Tehsil. It is located in the south of Punjab at 31°7'58N 70°30'46E and has an elevation of 196 metres. According to a study by the Asian Development Bank in 2006, a significant number of the people of Vehowa, along with similar areas of the Punjab bordering Balochistan, were living below the poverty line.

Shahpur District

Shahpur District was a district in current day Pakistan from 1893, during the British Raj, till 1960. From 1893 to 1914 Shahpur was the district headquarters. In 1914 the district headquarters were moved from Shahpur to Sargodha, although the district continued to be known as Shahpur. In 1960 the Sargodha District was created and Shahpur District became Shahpur Tehsil.

Shahpur, Pakistan

Shahpur (alternatively Shāhpur or Shahapur) is a city and capital of Shahpur Tehsil, located in Sargodha District in the Punjab province, of Pakistan. It lies on the Jhelum River. Population of Tehsil is 274,000 (1998) being mainly Muslim and Punjabi speaking. Its old name was Rampur and it had a majority Hindu population until the 17th century. The name changed after the arrival of a Sufi saint Shah Shams Sherazi from Delhi.
