Keenjhar Lake

Keenjhar Lake commonly called as Kalri Lake is situated in Thatta District, Sindh, Pakistan. It is 122 km away from Karachi and 18 km away from Thatta town. It is the second largest fresh water lake in Pakistan. It is an important source that provides drinking water to Thatta District and Karachi city. Jhimpir Wind Power Plant

The Jhimpir Wind Power Plant is the first Wind Power Plant in Pakistan. The wind farm is being developed in Jhimpir, 144 km from Karachi by Zorlu Energy Pakistan the local subsidiary of a Turkish company. The total cost of project is $136 million. On 15 October 2008 Zorlu Energy reported to have completed five wind turbines in Jhimpir, each capable of producing 1.2 megawatts of electricity.
