Tulkarm Governorate

The Tulkarm Governorate is an administrative district and one of 16 Governorates of the Palestinian National Authority located in the northwestern West Bank. The governorate's land area is 268 square kilometers. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the governorate had a population of 172,800 inhabitants. The muhfaza or district capital is the city of Tulkarm.

Battle of Tulkarm

The Battle of Tulkarm took place on 19 September 1918, beginning of the Battle of Sharon, which along with the Battle of Nablus formed the set piece Battle of Megiddo fought between 19 and 25 September in the last months of the Sinai and Palestine Campaign of the First World War.

Khodori Institute, Tulkarm

Khodori Institute is an agricultural college located in Tulkarm, in the northern West Bank. The college was inaugurated in 1930 after the British Government had received a bequest from the Iraqi born Jewish philanthropist Sir Ellis Kadoorie. The college was named in his honour and still bears his name. The Agricultural college came under the authority of the Government of the British Mandate and was supervised by the Department of Agriculture.

Triangle (Israel)

The Triangle, formerly referred to as the Little Triangle, is a concentration of Israeli Arab towns and villages adjacent to the Green Line, located in the eastern Sharon plain among the Samarian foothills; this area is located within the easternmost boundaries of both the Center District and Haifa District. The Triangle is further divided into the Northern Triangle and the Southern Triangle. Umm al-Fahm and Tayibe are the social, cultural and economic centers for Arab residents of the region.

Tzur Yitzhak

Tzur Yitzhak is a communal settlement in central Israel. Located near Tzur Natan and Kokhav Ya'ir, it falls under the jurisdiction of Drom HaSharon Regional Council. In 2007 it had a population of 60 families. The village was founded in June 2007 and consists of around 140 residential units in two different projects. There are plans for a total of around 2,350 dwellings in the settlement.
