Lake Danao (Negros)
Lake Danao is the smaller of the two lakes located in Balinsasayao Twin Lakes Natural Park in the southern part of Negros Oriental, Philippines; the other being Lake Balinsasayao. The lakes and its surrounding were designated as a protected area by Proclamation No. 414 on November 21, 2000 categorized as a Natural Park covering about 8,016 hectares . The lake itself has about 28 hectares surface area.

Lake Balinsasayao is one of two small but deep crater lakes rising 1,000 feet above sea level located 12 km west of the town of Sibulan in the province of Negros Oriental, Philippines. It lies northwest of a narrow mountain ridge, situated in a caldera between four mountains, Mount Mahungot to the south, Mount Kalbasan to the north, Mount Balinsasayao to the east and Guintabon Dome to the west. The other lake, Lake Danao, is situated on the southeast.

Silliman University
Silliman University (also referred to as Silliman or SU) is a private research university in Dumaguete, Philippines. Established in 1901 as Silliman Institute by the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions, it is the first American private university in the country. The university is named after Dr. Horace Brinsmade Silliman, a retired businessman and philanthropist from Cohoes, New York who gave the initial sum of $10,000 to start the school.
