Candijay is a 4th class municipality in the province of Bohol, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 29,043 people. The municipality of Candijay is located at the eastern side of Bohol about 92.2 kilometers from Tagbilaran City, a two-hour ride away. Considered a 2nd class municipality, the town occupies an area of 8,687 hectares with a population of 51, 183 people according to the 2007 census.

Bohol (island)

Bohol Island /boʊˈhɔːl/ boh-HAWL is the main island of Bohol Province in the Visayas. It lies southeast from Cebu Island across the Cebu Strait (in some references called Bohol Strait) and southwest from Leyte Island, separated by the Camotes Sea and Canigao Channel. Bohol is also located north of Mindanao with the Bohol Sea between them.

Chocolate Hills

The Chocolate Hills is a geological formation in Bohol Province, Philippines. There are at least 1,260 hills but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres . They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name. The Chocolate Hills is a famous tourist attraction of Bohol. They are featured in the provincial flag and seal to symbolize the abundance of natural attractions in the province.
