Leyte is an island in the Visayas group of the Philippines. The island measures about 180 km (110 mi) north-south and about 65 km (40 mi) at its widest point. The City of Baybay, is a component city located in the Province of Leyte, Philippines. It is situated on the western coast of the province of Leyte. It is bounded by Camotes Sea on the west, Albuera, Leyte on the north, Inopacan, Leyte on the south, Burauen, Leyte, La Paz, Leyte and MacArthur, Leyte on the northeast, Javier, Leyte on the east, and Abuyog, Leyte and Mahaplag, Leyte on the southeast. It has a Type 4 climate, which is generally wet.

Albuera, Leyte
Albuera is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 40,520 people. The town boasts of a semi-concrete municipal building. Streets within the poblacion are reinforced with cement along the ditches giving the town a neat look and at the same time providing security against muddy streets during the rainy months.

Javier, Leyte
Javier is a 4th class municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines, and a 14,180 hectare rural town approximately 73 kilometers south of Tacloban City. It is located between the boundaries of Baybay on the west side and MacArthur and Abuyog Towns, along the Leyte Gulf. It has a very narrow coastlines and coastal plains facing the Pacific. As of the 2010 census, this municipality is a home of 24,325 population.
