HVDC Leyte–Luzon
The HVDC Leyte–Luzon is a high voltage direct current transmission link in the Philippines between geothermal power plants on the island of Leyte and the southern part of island of Luzon. The HVDC Leyte – Luzon went in service on 10 August 1998. The HVDC Leyte – Luzon begins at Ormoc converter station and ends at Naga converter station.

It is one of three airports in the province of Leyte, the others being Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport in Tacloban City and Hilongos Airport. Likewise, Ormoc Airport is one of the few airports in the Philippines to be situated in an "airport village", a barangay specifically designated for the airport and its surrounding area.

Kananga, Leyte
Kananga is a 1st class municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 50,482 people. Kananga was created in 1950 from the barrios of Lonoy, Kananga, Rizal, Tugbong, Montebello, Aguiting, Agayayan, Montealegre, Libungao, Naghalin, and Masarayag which all used to be part of Ormoc City.

Ormoc Bay
Ormoc Bay is a bay on the island of Leyte in the Philippines. The bay is an inlet of the Camotes Sea. The city of Ormoc lies at the head of the bay and exports rice, copra and sugar. The World War II Battle of Ormoc Bay took place from November 11 until mid-December in Ormoc Bay during late 1944. It consisted of a series of almost daily destroyer skirmishes and air battles. It was decisive in determining the final outcome of the Battle for Leyte Gulf.
