The chapel of Karol Scheibler, next to the Old Evangelical - Augsburg Cemetery on Ogrodowa Street 43, is a major architectural work in old Łódź, Poland. Łódź is known for its architectural monuments which form a record of the city's heritage, particularly its unique nineteenth century development. The chapel and mausoleum of Karol Scheibler are noted examples of architecture from this period.

Ezras Israel Synagogue

Ezras Izrael Synagogue, also known as the Wolynska shul for its location at ul. Wolczanska 6, was a synagogue in Łódź, Poland. It was built in 1899-1904 by Jewish merchants who had come to Łódź from Lithuania and Belarus. The architect was Gustaw Landau-Gutenteger. The synagogue was burnt down by Nazis on November 11, 1939.

Piotrkowska Street

Piotrkowska Street, the main artery of Łódź, Poland, is one of the longest commercial thoroughfares in Europe, with a length of 4.9 km. It is one of the major tourist attractions of the city. It runs longitudinally in the straight line between the Liberty Square (Plac Wolności) and the Independence Square (Plac Niepodleglości). From the very beginning this street was the central axis, around which the city grew bigger, and its development spontaneously gave the present shape to its centre.

Stadion ŁKS

Stadion Miejski (Łódź City Stadium), also known as Stadion LKS, is a multi-purpose stadium in Łódź, Poland. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 12,160 people. It was built in 1975, while the ground hosted football games since 1925. A new 16,500-seat stadium is planned on the same site. Support for the project has been undermined by the re-call election of the Lodz City President in early 2010.

Medical University of Łódź

The Medical University of Łódź was founded on October 1, 2002 as a merger of the Medical Academy of Łódź (founded January 1, 1950) and the Military Medical Academy of Łódź (founded July 1, 1958). It is the largest teaching hospital unit in Poland and a European research center.
