LOT Flight 7 crashed near Okęcie Airport in Warsaw, Poland, on 14 March 1980, due to mechanical failure as the crew aborted a landing and attempted to go-around. All 87 crew and passengers died.

Okęcie

Sybirak Roundabout

Rondo Zesłańców Syberyjskich w Warszawie is a roundabout in western Warsaw's Ochota district, named after Poles who have been exiled to Siberia. The following streets meet at Sybirak Roundabout: on the east, aleje Jerozolimskie (Jerusalem Avenue); on the west, aleje Jerozolimskie (Jerusalem Avenue); on the north, aleja Prymasa Tysiąclecia (Millennial Primate Avenue); on the south, ulica Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 roku (1920 Battle of Warsaw Street).

Medical University of Warsaw

The Medical University of Warsaw was founded in January 1950, building on the University of Warsaw's former Faculty of Medicine, which had been established in the early nineteenth century. The Medical University of Warsaw is the largest medical school in Poland, and one of the most prestigious.

Soviet Military Cemetery, Warsaw

The Soviet Military Cemetery in Warsaw, Poland, is the burial place of over 20,000 Soviet soldiers who died fighting against Nazi Germany. It contains one of the first major monuments to be built in Warsaw to those who fought in the Second World War. It includes examples of Socialist Realist art showing workers (with tools) and other civilians greeting the victorious soldiers.
