Krojanty
Krojanty is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Chojnice, within Chojnice County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It lies near the Tuchola Forest, approximately 7 kilometres north-east of Chojnice and 97 km south-west of the regional capital Gdańsk. The village has a population of 461. On 1 September 1939, it was the site of the Skirmish of Krojanty which became a propaganda myth of Polish cavalry attacking German tanks.

Charge at Krojanty
The charge at Krojanty, battle at Krojanty or skirmish of Krojanty was a cavalry charge that occurred during the Invasion of Poland in the Second World War. It took place on the evening of September 1, 1939, near the Pomeranian village of Krojanty. Polish soldiers advanced east along the former Prussian Eastern Railway to railroad crossroads 7 kilometres from the town of Chojnice (Konitz) where elements of the Polish cavalry attacked and dispersed the German infantry battalion.
